Golf Courses Near Stow, OH
A pleasant suburb of Akron, Stow is a community that offers a relaxed lifestyle. There are quaint local restaurants and bars, parks and plenty to do outdoors such as fishing and swimming. And for those seeking a craft beer or two, the Headtrip Brewery has some pretty nice offerings as well. It’s named for John Stow, who more than two centuries ago touted the beauty of the landscape of hills, valleys, streams and lakes as “one of the prettiest and most romantic spots in the Western Reserve.” Not surprisingly then, the Stow area is a good location for a few golf courses that offer tee times to the public. Courses such as Fox Run Country Club, for example, offer championship tests for a reasonable green fee. The same could be said Stow’s municipal layout, Fox Den Golf Course, which opened in 1966. This par 72 plays a little more than 6,500 yards from the tips.
