Golf Courses Near Lancaster, OH

Known as the childhood home of Gen. William T. Sherman, Lancaster, Ohio is a quiet little city located about 30 minutes southeast of Columbus. This community of about 40,000 offers a variety of local restaurants, pubs, parks and museums, including the Sherman House, where Sherman and his younger brother, politician and statesman John Sherman, grew up. Other attractions in Lancaster include the Ohio Glass Museum, Historic Aircraft Squadron and the Rockside Winery and Vineyards, which offers tours and wine tastings. Golfers will also find Lancaster to their liking with several courses offering tee times to the public. Among them is the par-74 Valley View Golf Club as well as Pumpkin Pine Golf Course, a par-71 layout that’s just over 5,000 yards. Pleasant Valley Golf Course is another popular place to get in a quick round. It has both executive and par-3 layouts.
