Golf Courses Near White Plains, NY
Just north of the Bronx and New York City, White Plains is a city full of meseum, arts, fine dining and plenty of things to do outdoors. Located in Westchester County, White Plains has several parks and some of the best golf courses in the area. Most of them are exclusive private clubs like Westchester Hills Golf Club, Scarsdale Country Club in Hartsdale and the Country Club of Purchase. But golfers can find tee times as some pretty good public courses as well. They include the A.W. Tillinghast-designed Old Oaks Golf Course, which was renovated many decades later by Finger, Dye and Spann. Maple Moor Golf Course in White Plains is another great option for the public. The municipal course, which opened in 1923, is a par-71 that plays nearly 7,400 yards. And next door across the state line into Connecticut, Griffith E. Harris Golf Course is a 1963 Robert Trent Jones Sr. design that’s open to the public.
