Golf Courses Near Tonawanda, NY

Known as the Gateway to the Erie Canal, Tonawanda is a city of around 15,000 people with plenty to do both indoors and outdoors. Located in the Buffalo Metro area, Tonawanda has several parks, including the popular Niawanda park, as well as water sports, fishing, a museum, and lots of shops and restaurants. There are also plenty of public golf courses that offer tee times. In Tonawanda alone there are two municipal facilities – Brighton Park and Sheridan Park – which have 18-hole layouts that play around 6,700 yards. Meanwhile in North Tonawanda, Deerwood Golf Course has 27 holes. Another strong municipal option is Amherst Audubon, which has both an 18-hole golf course and nine-hole par-3 course. The best private club in the area is River Oaks Golf Club in Grand Isle. It’s a Desmond Muirhead design that plays nearly 7,400 yards from the tips.
