Located in the Buffalo Metro area and named for the series of locks in the Erie Canal within the city, Lockport draws thousands of visitors each year with its tours of the locks and many wineries in the area. Wine tastings, tours and one of the largest wine cellars in the state are among the highlights. Visitors also enjoy Lockport’s visitor and history centers, which explain much about the canal.
