Golf Courses Near Lincoln Park, NJ
Located about 45 minutes from New York City. Lincoln Park is the easternmost borough in Morris County, New Jersey, The town is home to two busy golf courses where you may be able to score a Hot Deal when making a tee time. Meadows Golf Club, which is noted for its undulating greens, weaves around natural wetlands on mostly flat terrain. Twin Willows Par 3 Golf Course calls itself “”a challenging 10-hole course designed to provide a full-length course feel in a par 3 setting.”” Though it is well suited for beginners, its bunkers, rough, and small greens will challenge your short game. Sunset Valley Golf Course in Pompton Plains spreads out over dramatic topography. It is the toughest of the four courses operated by the Morris County Parks system. When considering where to make your tee times, be sure to look up the options in nearby Wayne, especially the East and West layouts at Preakness Valley Golf Course. The jewel of the region is Knoll Country Club’s West Course in Parsippany. It’s a heavily wooded Charles Banks design from 1929 and until recently it was exclusively private. Golf Advisor rates it one of New Jersey’s very best courses.
Only about 10,500 people live in Lincoln Park, a quiet place with a quaint Main Street that is easy to stroll. When residents look to get back to nature, they head to High Mountain Park Preserve for its hiking trails, stunning sunsets and views of the New York City skyline. A number of historic house museums are also nearby, including Dey Mansion in Wayne. George Washington occasionally used the Dey estate as his headquarters during the Revolutionary War. If you go for a visit, consider bringing your clubs–Preakness Valley Golf Course is located on the same property.
