Statesville is in North Carolina’s Piedmont region some 40 miles from both Charlotte and Winston-Salem. While Statesville Country Club is private, favorite tee times include Larkin Golf Club, which shifts from tree-lined parkland to more mountainous and finally links-style terrain, tree-lined Twin Oaks, Lakewood Golf Club, a layout known for its rousing views, and River Oaks, a hidden gem with a creek that adds challenge and charm.
