Lockwood Folly Country Club and the 27-hole Carolina National Golf Club offer classic low country games on the banks of the Lockwood Folly River. One of the neatest experiences is playing Bald Head Island Golf Course. Routed through lagoons and marshes, it is a focal point of a car-free island and accessible only by a private boat or passenger ferry from Southport.
