Golf Courses Near Bozeman, MT
Bozeman, a fast growing Rocky Mountain city in southern Montana, is home to Montana State University. The Bobcats’ golf teams use a variety of local courses when they practice, including two public golf facilities where you can enjoy tee times. Cottonwood Hills Golf Club was Bozeman’s first public course when it opened in 1986. The playing field yields stunning mountain views and flows naturally over an old cattle ranch with a creek winding through it. Bridger Creek Golf Course provides beauty and challenge as a creek and a few ponds enter the fray, but there’s always a way around the hazards. Two notable 9-hole courses outside of town are Livingston Golf Course, a flat layout with trees lining the fairways and a couple of holes that play alongside the Yellowstone River, and Headwaters Golf Course in Three Forks, where you’ll find fairways defined by rough and cottonwood trees and a couple of river-bound holes. Golf Advisor rated Headwaters the #5 top course in Montana in 2021.
