Golf Courses Near Gulfport, MS
With beautiful white sand beaches against the warm Gulf of Mexico waters, Gulfport is part of the Mississippi Riviera, which blends southern charm, recreation, great seafood and plenty of fun, including gaming, fishing, and, of course, golf. Part of the Gulfport-Biloxi metro area about 90 minutes east of New Orleans, Gulfport, which has international airport, is the second largest city in the state with around 72,000 people. There are casino resorts on the water, lots of terrific local eateries, a brewery or two, water park, museums and even a Civil War fort. There are also plenty of golf facilities offering tee times. They include the oldest course in the state, the Donald Ross-designed Great Southern Golf Club in Gulfport and casino courses like Fallen Oaks at Beau Rivage. Among the other favorites are Grand Bear and The Bridges golf clubs, designed by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer respectively.
