Golf Courses Near West Branch, MI

One of the best places in Michigan to view fall colors, West Branch is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. This central northern Michigan locale boasts the beauty of the Ogemaw Hills, its hardwoods and its many trails, fishing in local lakes and streams, parks, local eateries and some exceptional public golf courses. One of the best is called The Dream Course, which plays nearly 7,000 yards from the tips. It is tree-lined and features more than 100 feet in elevation change. Other great places for the public to get tee times include West Branch Country Club, a Jerry Matthews design that goes back to 1928, and The Nightmare, which is owned by the same brothers who have The Dream. The Nightmare, which plays over 7,000 yards, actually has wide fairways, so it is anything but its name, but surely challenging.
