Golf Courses Near Sterling Heights, MI

A large city in Macomb County, Sterling Heights is also one of the largest suburbs of Detroit. Located less than a half hour north of the Motor City, Sterling Heights offers lots of shopping, eateries, craft breweries and parks, some of them along the Clinton River. Sterling Heights is also home to the General Motors Heritage Center, Jinuwine Cigar Lounge has the largest walk-in humidor in the world and Lakeside Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the county. This community of around 130,000 people also has a lot of tee times available at public golf courses, including Rammier Golf Club, which has both a regulation course and par-3 course that work their way around the river. Other good public golf options include Plum Brook Golf Course, a 6,300-yard layout that goes back to 1927, as well as 27-hole Maple Lake Golf Club, which opened in 1926.
