Golf Courses Near Jackson, MI
With plenty of eateries, museums, parks and other recreational activities, Jackson, a city of a little more than 30,000 people, has much going for it. The parks are particularly nice, but one in particular, offers all sorts of activities including a historic golf facility. Cascades Park, known for having one of the largest manmade waterfalls in the world as well as its walking trails, ballfields and Cascades House, is also home to a terrific 27-hole municipal golf facility. Cascades Golf Course has championship 18-hole course and executive course, both of which opened in 1929 and were designed by Tom Bendelow. There are more than 20 public courses where golfers can get tee times. Grande Golf Club is highly rated Ray Hearn design that plays well over 7,1000 yards from the tips, and Hickory Hills Golf Course has 36 holes. Other courses in Jackson include public layouts Arbor Hills Golf Course, Lakeland Hills Golf Course and Pine Hollow Golf Course.
