Golf Courses Near Grand Blanc, MI
Located about an hour or so north of Detroit, Grand Blanc is an affluent suburb of Flint. The city of around 8,000 people has a nice mix of neighborhoods and parks and offers a good selection of dining and fun things to do with the family, including its famous Michigan’s Greatest Fudge & Taffy Company. There’s also an extensive parks system and quite a few golf courses in the area. The most famous is the private Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club, where Tiger Woods won three Buick Opens on the PGA Tour. But there are plenty of tee times available for the public in Grand Blanc, Flint and the neighboring communities. The largest is the 36-hole Jewel of Grand Blanc, which has both the Diamond and Onyx courses. The Captain’s Club at Woodfield, which is a Ray Floyd design, is also open to the public. Flint’s Swartz Creek Golf Course offers both an 18-hole regulation course and a nine-hole executive course, while Brookwood Golf Club, which opened in 1938 in nearby Burton, is a popular public course that plays nearly 7,000 yards from the tips.
