Golf Courses Near Augusta, MI
An old mill town, Augusta is a quiet village located in southwestern Michigan. It has a nice park, theater and an old train depot that has been well preserved. But what this community is really known for is its golf. More specifically, Augusta is the home of the Gull Lake View Golf Resort, a family-operated property that now has six championship golf courses. The crown jewel is the newest course, Soatin Brae, a links-style course designed by Michigan native Tom Doak that has been widely acclaimed. There are also plenty of tee times available at the other five courses at the resort. They include the East, West, Stonehedge South and North and Bedford Valley. The surrounding communities also have plenty of public golf courses. Among them is 27-hole Hickory Ridge in Galesburg and Cedar Creek Golf Course in Battle Creek.
