Known for the birthplace of America’s first settlers, Plymouth is a town local on the East Coast about 45 miles south of Boston. This is where thousands of visitors come each year to not only see Plymouth Rock, where the Pilgrims landed and established America’s first colony, but a replica of the Mayflower as well. There’s also the recreation of Plimoth Plantation, a recreation of the English settlers’ first village includes about a dozen buildings, gardens, woodpiles, and livestock. Additionally, Plymouth has all kinds of local eateries, pubs and breweries to enjoy. Golfers will find the Plymouth area to their liking as well, with plenty of tee times available at local courses. One of the best is Crosswinds Golf Club, an outstanding 27-hole layout by Mike Hurdzan and Dana Fry. Or if you’re looking for a sucker round, Squirrel Run Country Club is a highly rated 18-hole par-3 course in Plymouth.
