Golf Courses Near Attleboro, MA
Just a short train ride southwest from Boston, Attleboro is a city with an interesting history and plenty to do both indoors and outdoors. The city of around 50,000, once known for its many jewelry factories, today offers museums, parks, eateries and even horse racing nearby. The Capron Park Zoo has been around since 1937, while the Gilbert Hills State Forest and Norton Reservoir are good places for hiking and water sports. The nearby Plainridge Park Casino offers harness racing in addition to slot machines and plenty of dining, and the city also has the Attleboro Arts Museum as well as the Attleboro Industrial Museum. For golfers there are plenty of tee times available in Attleboro and the surrounding area as well. The Stone-E-Lea Golf Course, which plays a little more than 6,100 yards is one popular option. Chemawa Golf Course, which is just under 6,000 yards, has been ranked among the top 20 courses in the state by Golf Advisor.
