Golf Courses Near Owensboro, KY

With a revitalized downtown amidst the beautiful backdrop of the Southern Ohio River, Owensboro is a vibrant medium-sized city with much to offer both residents and visitors. The city of 60,000 residents is known as the industrial, medical and cultural center of western Kentucky. Here you will find a great variety of local restaurants, museums, parks and a few other fun things to do. Owensboro is home to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum. There’s also the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden and the Owensboro Museum of Science and History. Of course, this is Kentucky, and great bourbons are everywhere, including at the Green River Distilling Co., which offers tours and tastings. It’s also a great area for golf with several courses in the area offering tee times for the public. Among the favorites are the Hillcrest Municipal Golf Course and Ben Hawes State Park, the latter of which has both a championship layout and par-3 course.
