Golf Courses Near Frankfort, KY
From its natural charm and beauty to its world famous bourbon, the capital city of Frankfort embodies the Bluegrass State of Kentucky. Known for its beautiful capitol building and other classic architecture that includes the new and old governor’s mansions, Frankfort is a small city of around 28,000 residents. It draws visitors from all over the region with plenty of museums, restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities. Attractions include the Daniel Boone Monument, Liberty Hall Historic Site, Thomas D. Park Center for Kentucky History and Buffalo Trace Distillery, which is one of nine distilleries in the area, all offering tours, tastings and sales of their world-famous elixir. There is also plenty to do outdoors, with parks around the Kentucky River and some pretty good golf courses. There are several golf facilities that offer tee times to the public, including the popular municipal Juniper Hills Golf Course and Duckers Lake Golf Course.
