Golf Courses Near South Bend, IN

While most people associated South Bend with Notre Dame University, it’s actually just one of several colleges in the area. That translates into a great college town that offers all kinds of arts, great local restaurants and pubs and plenty of things to do and see, both on and off campus. Visitors and locals alike can appreciate the outdoors, which includes the St. Joseph’s River and popular Potato State Park for swimming, rafting, fishing canoeing and picnicking, for example. On campus, there is of course the famous Gold Dome and historic sports programs, but there’s also the Studebaker National Museum, which celebrates the now-defunct car company, as well as the History Museum. Casinos, nightclubs and other entertainment venues are also part of the fun in South Bend. For golfers, however, there is no shortage of tee times in South Bend, which offers exceptional public golf. At the top of the list is the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame, one of the top college courses in the country, but there are at least a couple more dozen courses to choose from in the area as well.
