Golf Courses Near Muncie, IN
If you spent much time watching David Letterman over the years, you probably know a little bit about Muncie. It’s the home of Letterman’s alma mater, Ball State University, where Letterman also started his career. The comic strip character Garfield was born there, and famed painter Bob Ross conducted his popular PBS art show from Muncie for decades. There are tributes to both Garfield and Ross that can be viewed in Muncie as well as other museums like the Albany Glass museum, art exhibits, plenty of restaurants and bars and parks. Muncie is also where one of the first 11 National Football League franchises was based. It’s also a good place for golfers, with tee times available at dozens of courses in the Muncie area. The public options include courses like Crestview Golf Club, which has both a nine-hole executive and regulation layout, as well as the Gene Bates-designed Players Club at Woodland Trails.
