Located near the Etowah River in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Canton is a fast growing suburb of Atlanta that offers plenty to do and see. Now with a population of just under 30,000 people, Canton was known for its cotton production. In fact, an old cotton mill, founded in 1899, has been repurposed into one of Canton’s most popular spots. The Mill of Etowah has a brewery, great local restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues. Additionally, Canton has museums like the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History as well as the Hickory Log Creek Reservoir and Lake Allatoona. Courses such as Woodmont Golf & Country Club, Bridgemill Athletic Club and the 27-hole Golf Club at Bradshaw Farms are all open to the public.
