Once a stopping point on the Overland Trail and later known for its sugar beet production, Windsor is a city that has evolved into a nice community to live in and visit. With a population of just under 30,000 people, this town, which is about 60 miles north of Denver, features plenty of parks, walking trails, local restaurants, pubs and other things to do outdoors. Among them is a the Poudre River Trail for hiking and biking, Boyd Lake State Park and Windsor Lake. This is also a good place for golfers with several public facilities offering tee times.
