Golf Courses Near Greeley, CO
Long known for its agriculture, especially the production of sugar beets, Greeley is a medium-sized city located about 50 miles northeast of Denver. It got its name from one of its first residents, former New York Tribune editor Horace Greeley, who is famous for the phrase, “Go west, young man.” Today, the city is known for its great local eateries, breweries and all sorts of things to do outside, such as the Poudre River Trail, Pawnee National Grasslands, and Centennial Village Museum. There are also annual festivals, like the Agriculture Fest and Feast and Greeley Stampede, an old northern Colorado tradition featuring rodeos, concerts and other activities. The Greeley area is also a good place for golfers to tee it up. There are several courses offering tee times to the public, including Highland Hills Golf Course, Boomerang Links and nearby Eaton Country Club, which goes back to 1923.
