Golf Courses Near Durango, CO
With a reputation as a western frontier town, Durango, located in southwest Colorado, has evolved into a city with quite a reputation for great food, craft beer and outdoor recreation. The annual Taste of Durango festival draws hundreds of vendors and thousands of visitors each year. The city is still known for its narrow gauge train that goes back to the 1800s, and visitors can still take rides on it. Outdoor recreational opportunities include fishing, hiking, biking, mountain climbing and off-roading. And the golf is pretty stellar, too, with several courses offering tee times to the public. Among the most popular is Dalton Ranch Golf Club, which was designed by the same architect who crafted the highly-ranked Pinon Hills in Farmington, N.M. about an hour or so south.
