The Club at Islas Del Mar Golf Club

Beauty, challenge, and value are all rolled up into one when you play the golf course at The Club at Islas Del Mar. Part of a beachfront community near the popular Rocky Point area on the Sea of Cortez, the course is a Jack Nicklaus/Chet Williams design with ocean views as well as desert landscape. The par 36 layout plays right around 3,600 yards from the tips, but there is an alternative set of tees playing it a second time around, which makes it feel like an 18-hole experience. Well-maintained with one picturesque hole after another, this semi-private course, once known as The Club at Laguna Del Mar, feels like a high-end resort/private club experience. Most of the holes have water that comes into play, the greens are elevated, and there are plenty of bunkers to navigate. The no. 1 handicap hole is the par-4 fourth, which plays more than 460 yards from the back tees, with water and sand that come into play. The course ends with a terrific risk-reward par-5. It plays 525 yards. Long hitters, if they can avoid the fairway bunkers on the left side of the fairway off the tee, will undoubtedly try to reach this green in two. Practice facilities include a driving range, and practice putting green. Rates are always reasonable here. The Crane By Islas Del Mar, located in the clubhouse, is a wonderful spot to have a meal after your round, offering the freshest local ingredients for incredible dishes.
