It’s September 8th and we’re kicking off the week with a Big Prize Monday drawing - today on GolfNow’s trivia contest.

Hi, everyone, Keri Murphy back with you for a Big Prize Monday edition of the trivia contest on GolfNow.com. Our featured course for today is Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona - and you can save when you book your tee times for this course online with us at www.golfnow.com – the #1 tee time website in the nation.

Okay, let’s get right to our first trivia question for the week, which is:

Which golfer was flying on a private plane between tournaments that had to land in the dark before reaching its destination? Was it:

A. Gene Sarazen

B. Sam Snead

C. Ben Hogan or

D. Walter Hagen

Just mark your answer on the entry form at GolfNow.com and tomorrow, we’ll tell you who it was and you’ll find out if your answer is correct and earned you another entry into our computer for our daily drawings.

Okay, now, let’s find out the answer to our question from last Friday’s show, which was:

Who was the last female golfer to win the USGA’s Bob Jones Award?

Louise Suggs celebrated her 85th birthday yesterday and is one of the biggest names in the history of women’s golf and one of the founders of the LPGA. She had an outstanding amateur career before turning professional in 1948 and going on to win over 50 events, including 11 majors, and her driving ability was so great that Bob Hope gave her the nickname, Miss Sluggs. She won the Vare trophy in 1957, was the very first female inductee into the World Golf Hall of Fame and last year, she became the 53rd recipient and the latest of 14 women to receive the Bob Jones Award, the highest honor given out by the USGA in recognition of distinguished sportsmanship in golf.

So, if you answered A – then you were right, which means that you now have one more entry into our computer for our daily drawings and our Big Prize Monday prize is Cleveland Hi-Bore XLS driver – a gold medal winner on Golf Digest’s 2008 Hot List!. Okay, computer, show me today’s winner:

And our Big Prize Monday winner is Daniel Chappell of Herndon, Virginia – and David, to claim this Cleveland driver - just send an e-mail to me at keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days and we will send it right out to you.

Okay, that is it for today’s show. GolfNow.com is the #1 tee time website in the nation for good reason – like their Rewards Club, their free Hot Deals e-mail club and widget, their Players Club and savings of up to 70% on over 1,000 courses in more than 20 states.
