Hi everyone, it’s Thursday, September 4th, I’m Keri Murphy and you might win an Odyssey puttter - today on GolfNow’s Trivia Contest
Welcome back to GolfNow’s trivia contest on this Thursday and our featured course today is the Poolesville Golf Course just outside of Washington D.C. - another course in our nationwide GolfNow network where you can save when you book your tee times online with us here at www.GolfNow.com.
Okay, a few weeks ago we talked about the Legends Golf Resort in South Africa where each hole on the course was designed by a different golfer. But, there is also a resort where a group of pro golfers all designed their own course and so, with that in mind, our question for today is:
Which country features a golf club with 12 different courses that were each designed by a different golfer or architect? Is it:
A. Saudi Arabia
B. Australia
C. China or
D. Argentina
Submit your answer on the entry form at GolfNow TV and tomorrow, we’ll tell you where this golf resort is and we’ll find out if you earned another entry into our daily drawings. Okay, now let’s find out the answer to yesterday’s trivia question, which was:
Which golfer finished in 2nd place behind Tom Watson at four major championships?
Tom Watson celebrates his 59th birthday today and I have to wonder if he’ll be getting a birthday card from Jack Nicklaus, who Watson beat four different times at three different majors during their careers. The first time was at the 1977 Masters when he beat Jack by two strokes after Nicklaus bogeyed the 18th hole in the final round and then, later that same year at the British Open, came the now famous Duel in the Sun where Watson beat Nicklaus by just one stroke in the final round after they had tied in each of the first three rounds. It happened at The Masters again in 1981 when Nicklaus and Johnny Miller finished tied for 2nd place behind Watson and then in 1982, Watson’s incredible chip shot for a birdie on the 17th hole at Pebble Beach helped him finish ahead of Jack for the fourth, and last time.
So, if you answered D – then your answer was correct and you’ve added another new entry
into our computer for our daily drawings and our prize today is an Odyssey White Hot Tour putter, which was a gold medal winner on this year’s Hot List by Golf Digest magazine. Okay, computer, show me today’s winner:
And our winner today is Michael Duffy of Orlando, Florida and, now, to claim this Odyssey putter, just send an e-mail to me at keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days.
If you haven’t already booked your tee times for this weekend, then you can still find great deals at more than 1,000 courses in over 20 states here at GolfNow.com, so be sure to book a tee time - or two - right after the show and save! I’m Keri Murphy – have a great Thursday and I’ll see you back here tomorrow on GolfNow’s Trivia Contest.
