Hi Keri:
The key word in yesterday’s question was “continuous”. Even though Manoa Cup is the oldest, it was interrupted during the WWII. Therefore, the oldest CONTINUOUS golf tournament in Hawaii should be the Hawaii State Open.

Jimmy, our question and answer on The Manoa Cup was based on multiple sources that all specifically stated it as being the oldest continuous tournament in Hawaii. As far as we can tell, there are no sources on the Hawaii State Open to challenge it. We hope that clears up our position.
