Hi, everyone, I’m Keri Murphy and it’s Big Prize Thursday - today on GolfNow’s Trivia Contest.

Welcome back to a new edition of GolfNow’s trivia contest on this Big Prize Thursday and our featured GolfNow course today is Dove Valley Ranch, just outside of Phoenix and Dove Valley is just one more course that makes up our nationwide network where you can save when you book your tee times here with us at www.golfnow.com.

The Walker Cup Match will take place in just under a year from now on the East Course at Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania, and with America’s Ryder Cup victory still fresh in our minds, our question for today is:

Who was the first golfer to play in both the Walker Cup and the Ryder Cup? Was it:

A. Fred Haas

B. Bobby Jones

C. Francis Ouimet

D. Lew Worsham

Just mark your answer on the entry form at GolfNow.com and tomorrow, we’ll tell you who the first golfer was to play in both of those events and, if your answer was correct, then there will be one more entry with your name on it for our daily drawings.

Okay, now let’s find out the answer to our question from yesterday’s show, which was:

Which golfer did Tiger Woods play with during an exhibition match when he was six years old? Was it:

The match took place in 1982 at Soboba Springs Royal Vista Golf Course in San Jacinto, California and featured retired golf legend Sam Snead, who was 70 years old at the time, and a 6-year-old future legend by the name of Tiger Woods. The match was played on the final two holes of the course, and the first one was a 200-yard par-3. Tiger’s drive didn’t quite make it to the green and his ball rolled down a hill to the edge of a pond, where it stopped sticking out about halfway in the water. Tiger was studying the shot when Snead told him that it was okay to take it out of the water and play it from the grass. But, in a hint of things to come, Tiger took his shot and knocked it out of the pond and right in the middle of the green. Snead parred the hole while Tiger took a bogey, and they repeated their scores on the second hole. When it was over, Snead offered Tiger his autograph but Tiger just smiled and offered Snead his instead.

So, if you answered C – then you were right and you’ve added another new entry into our computer for our daily drawings and our Big Prize for today is a Cleveland Hi-Bore XLS driver – a gold medal winner on Golf Digest’s 2008 Hot List!. Okay, computer, show me today’s winner:

And our Big Prize winner today is Ken Horne of Florence, South Carolina. Congratulations, Ken, and now, to claim this Cobra driver, all you have to do is to send an e-mail to me at Keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days.
