what if the worm is in a comma due to cold weather…do we give him CPR until he can go back in his hole or are there winter rules for this? and can we eat the dead crab at the 19th hole?

Next time you spend a week asking about the rules of golf, how about just giving a situation and asking for the proper resolution rather than the NUMBER of the rule that applies. I have never even wondered what number rule applies when I am out playing. I am very concerned, however, with knowing and following the rules as I play and posting as fair and accurate a score as is possible.

Is there a “E” answer for none of the above? I couldn’t find any reference to borrowing golf balls under any of the choices listed.

4.4a is the correct answer to the borrowing balls question, not the rules listed! Was this a trick question to get us into the weekend??

Hey Jeff,
I’m sorry to say but rule 4 and all sub rules under rule 4 are in regards to the clubs. If you go to http://www.usga.com the rules are listed very clearly and rule ?covers the ball and almost every conceivable situation involving the ball. I hate to say this but I read the rules for fun just to tick my brother-in-law off while we are playing. It is more fun than I can express in words.
Hey “D”,
The correct answer is in one of the 4 rules listed. Sorry man!!!
