November 7, 2008
It’s Friday, November 7th and we’re giving away a TaylorMade Hybrid. Let’s find out if you’re our winner - today on Golf Now’s Trivia Contest.
Hey there, Keri Murphy with our last trivia question of the week and our featured course for today is Las Sendas Golf Club in Phoenix – just one more course in our GolfNow network where you can find great tee time deals when you book online with us at www.GolfNow.com.
The Wendys’ Three Tour Challenge takes place next week with Rocco Mediate, Natalie Gulbis and Nick Price being just three of the players representing each team of three from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours, and that leads us to our trivia question for today, which is:
Which of these golfers has played in the Wendy’s 3 Tour Challenge the most times? Is it:
A. Fred Couples
B. Julie Inkster
C. Hale Irwin
D. Jack Nicklaus
Just mark your answer on the entry form at GolfNow.com and on Monday’s show, we’ll tell you who it is and we’ll see if your answer was correct and earned you another entry into our computer for our daily drawings. Now, let’s find out the answer to our question from yesterday’s show, which was:
Which golfer has won the Mizuno Classic the most times? Is it:
The Mizuno Classic started in 1973 as the LPGA Japan Classic and is the last full-field event on the tour.
Patty Sheehan became the first woman to win twice in this tournament with wins in 1981 and 88, but then Betsy King became the first golfer to earn consecutive victories with wins in 1992 and 93. Woo-Soon Ko from South Korea won the next two years and six years later, Annika Sorenstam became the first woman to win – not just five times – but five consecutive times with her amazing wins between 2001 and 2005.
So, if you answered C - then you were correct and now have one more entry with your name on it in our computer for our daily drawings and our prize today is a TaylorMade Burner Rescue hybrid – another gold medal winning club on Golf Digest’s 2008 Hot List. Okay, computer, show me today’s winner:
And our winner today is Steven Morgenstern of Springfield, Ohio and now, to claim this prize, just send an e-mail to me at keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days. Congratulations, Steven!
Okay, that wraps another week here on GolfNow’s trivia contest. Thanks so much to everyone who played this week and congratulations to all of our winners plus a big thanks to girls golf for my wardrobe. I’m Keri Murphy, have a great weekend everyone and I’ll see you back again next week for more fun golf trivia and great golf prizes here on GolfNow.com – the #1 tee time website in the nation!
