It’s Monday, November 3rd – I’m Keri Murphy and we’re giving away a Callaway golf grab bag - today on GolfNow’s trivia contest.
Hi, everyone, welcome back to a brand new week here on GolfNow’s Trivia Contest. Our featured GolfNow network course for today is the Tuscany Golf Club in Las Vegas – just one of more than 1,000 courses in over 20 states where you can save when you book online with us at www.golfnow.com – the #1 tee time website in the nation.
Okay, last Monday, we asked a question about the World Amateur Team Championships, which is the men’s amateur tournament, but today, we’re going to ask about the women’s team’s world golf championship and so, our question for today is:
Which country won the very first Espirito Santo Trophy? Was it:
A. United States
B. Australia
C. France
D. Sweden
As always, just mark your answer on the entry form at GolfNow.com and tomorrow, we’ll tell you which country it was and, if your answer was correct, then you’ll have one more entry in our computer with your name on it for our daily drawings. Okay, now, let’s find out the answer to our question from last Friday’s show, which was:
What age was the oldest first-time winner on the regular PGA Tour?
While Sam Snead holds the record for being the oldest winner on the PGA Tour at age 52, But, it was John Barnum who became the oldest player to win their very first PGA Tour event after 50, when he won the 1962 Cajun Classic Open Invitational at the age of 51 years, 1 month and 5 days – to be exact. And if Barnum’s name sounds familiar, it might be because we’ve also talked about him being the very first player to win on the Tour using a Ping putter.
So, if you answered A – then you were right, which means that you now have one more entry into our computer for our daily drawings and, our prize today is a Callaway golf grab bag which includes a dozen personalized Callaway HX Hot-Bite golf balls. Okay, computer, show me today’s winner:
And our winner today is Tim Trenbeath of Parker, Colorado, and to claim this Callaway grab bag, Tim, just send an e-mail to me at keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days.
GolfNow.com can save you up to 70% on your next tee time so why not see just how much you can save when you book online with us here at www.golfnow.com. I’m Keri Murphy, have a great Monday everyone and I’ll see you again tomorrow here on GolfNow’s Trivia Contest.
