Due to the fact that there are a number of websites that list the original number of holes on the Old Course at St. Andrews as 12, which contradicts what is listed on the official St. Andrews Links website that we used as our primary source, we will gladly make the change in our computer so that anyone who answered “B” to last Thursday’s trivia question will also be credited for a correct answer.

when will the change be made regarding St Andrews old course?

Note: I predicted this question would be trouble on November 22, when as the first commentator for the day I stated: “This question is a Turkey…” meaning there were contradictory answers and interpretations. Don’t say you weren’t warned GolfNow! Besides I had the ‘right’ answer so I wished you had stuck to your guns and stuck it to the whiney babies who probably routinely take three and four foot gimmees…and you call yourselves golfers! ha
(the precedeing comment was all in fun so don’t bother replying to it…you whimps!)

The question Kerri asks is about a Central American country… yet under the video it asks about a South American country… which needs to be corrected to match what Kerri asks.
The four countries listed are in Central America….

Thanks for your willingness to credit B as an answer…. When you do this I assume that my information will be updated to show 20 out of 20.

Todays question asks for a country in south america. All the choices are central american countries. JT

This must be a trick question. All of these countries are in Central America, not South America.

Way to go golfnow tv! That definitely is the fair and correct decision. Please do us all a favor and try to avoid this type of ambiguous question in the future( although it certainly did garner a bunch of published comments!). Thanks, and keep up the good work.

You guys are giving me grey hair. It took me 71 days to find the answer! Please make the question in text below the screen consistent with the video question…..

Following is the answer to the St. Andrews question. Direct from Scotland.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your answer is 12. It was extended to 22, then reduced to 18 in the early 19th century.
Kind Regards
