Please note that Phil Mickelson won in 2000 and 2005 on rain delayed tournaments. Both were called after 54 holes.

It looks like there were actually 3 different years that the tournament was shortened to 3 rounds because of weather.

actually, I believe the question is technically correct as it stands, because with each playoff there are actually more holes played than 54.
