While I was able to find the answer (at least I think I did), I don’t like these questions that are a bit objective. Who is credited with coining a phrase or term? I think it’s too ambiguous, anybody can write whatever they want on the internet, and if enough read it and believe it, it becomes fact. Stick to golf facts and good looking hosts!

I agree with others who criticize the selection of questions and quotations for which there are no one correct answer. Yesterday’s question (March 12) is a case in point. There is enough appropriate golf trivia to keep you supplied for the next 20 years.

I’d agree with Ben. I’d imagine all yesterday’s selections have said that quote from time to time. All the information I could find credited that quote to Raymond Floyd, rather than any of those actors.

Personally I like the higher order thnking questions, one with a bit of ambiguity. Decreases the “googlers” from answering simple questions. As far as yesterday’s questions, read carefully, quite clear and too the point.

hey what happened to giving everyone credit for yesterdays question as stated in your response?
March 13th, 2008 at 7:33 am
the question should have read which actor plagiarized the saying” The reason they call it golf….”

The credit for players who did not choose the correct answer choice on yesterday’s show will show up within the next 7 to 10 days.

I don’t know who coined the phrase “the yips” but it is clear Johnny Miller should be pictured next to the definition.

Some of you guys are taking this way too seriously…it’s just a game, for crying out loud! I’d hate to play golf with some of you guys who take a simple trivia contest so seriously! Lighten up, have some fun with it…you still likely get 95% of the answers right and have a chance at awesome prizes for FREE!
March 13th, 2008 at 8:18 am
I believe you do the best you can with your questions. Yes, there will always be ambiguous ones, however, it’s been said, it’s only a game. It is a small percentage who complain. It’s the nature of the beast. If they would only read more carefully or research more diligently they might uncover the answer. I am disappointed that you gave credit for yesterdays wrong answers.

All these guys should lighten up and get out the house today and go play Golf, get a life
March 13th, 2008 at 8:23 am
Taken way too serious guys
March 13th, 2008 at 9:35 am
People quit complaining and answer the question. Although it is quite funny to read all of this crap that these people write.
These guys sound like the people who pay a $300 green fee, then complain that they lost a quarter to the buddies.

Must be bad weather and everyone’s stuck indoors - No sun, no fresh air and no golf!! Hmm, yesterday and one good challenge and almost everyone got the “yips” and are talking about why they missed the question - I think enough already - I’m with sonoranrat where a good thinking question is a great question providing it’s not so darn ambiguous with so many answers.

I agree with Terry. Please send all the cry baby’s a diaper as a prize.
March 13th, 2008 at 10:56 am
I don’t believe what I’m reading ……stop crying and play the dame game ……and stop giving the answer when you write to complain…. Hint Google the question!!!
March 13th, 2008 at 11:24 am
We love you Keri and you can ask any kind of question you want. After all, it is meant to be fun. I personally look forward to the daily questions. They have become a part of my morning routine.
March 13th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
Stop whining….come on free stuff and a super hot Keri to look at each morning. You complainers must not live in Cali….I’ve been golfing all this month, last month, and even in January…..come visit. Oh and congrats Keri on show #300…I wish I knew about your site sooner.

Why is there so much sycophanting going on here, it will get you nothing. Andrew Bears = I agree with you in that it’s quite funny reading all the crap that’s written here. lol
March 13th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
Ben 4:43 a.m. Come on sleep in, it’s still dark
March 13th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
Sycophanting?? I don’t think anyone is trying to gain anything here, just point out that this is simply a fun trivia contest, where we all get to enter for FREE and get chances to win FREE stuff for a small investment of personal time. So there is no substantial grounds to complain when the questions are not favourable to an individual. I don’t think that is sycophanting as I understand the definition.
March 13th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Ok let me get this straight. You guys have are given a great golf site who is giving you discounted golf, free prizes, and hosted by a beautiful woman and you are complaining about the trivia questions that they ask. Talk about rude, ungrateful people, you don’t deserve to have the chance at winning. Hopefully, the BAD apples don’t ruin the whole program. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GOLFNOW.
March 13th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Shut up ,go golf, enjoy the free game and prizes, and enjoy Keri. The whiners are the ones who don’t score 100% They want to see their name on the list >There are no bad questions, just bad losers!!!

What’s funny and what’s really obvious is that people like the two guys that posted in #22 and #23 (and others) are the ones that are taking it much too serious. Those that make and have made comments in the past are basically just thiinking out loud, and the ones that take this all too serious are those that respond like posts #’s 9,11,12,13,15,16,21,22,23. It figures you responded Billty-lol. lighten up don’t tighten up.
