Hmmm, interesting leaderboard. Two Larrys and a Lawrence, all from the same ZIP code and all with the same stats. Could it possibly be that somebody’s not playing fair? And here I thought golf was a game of honor…

  2. GolfNow TV Says:

Jeff, thanks for letting us know. We’ll look into it.

  3. Brad Stieler Says:

    Keri,
In viewing the trailers for the upcoming “Highway 18″ show, I wonder what this has to do with actual golf. Reallity shows are nothing but stunts that give the traditions of the game a bad view.
You would be better served connecting yourself with something that helps golf promote the integrity of the game rather than a show that has nothing to do with the actual game itself. I won’t watch. I’d rather help kids with enjoying the game and learning the history and rerwards in life it can offer than spend time watching a show that does nothing to promote the game.
    Brad

    Hey Keri:

Don’t be afraid to pronounce my name. It’s real easy: Far - eeee - us. I’ll be listening for it. I’ll send a cool picture of me holding the prize, too.

Great contest. First thing in the morning before work every morning. Coffee and Keri.

    Thanks.

    Dennis

Hey Brad- You’re a jerk. Jerks are nothing but jerk golfers that give golfers who like to play AND have fun a bad view. You would be better served pulling the 9-iron out of your butt and connecting yourself with anything that promotes the game at all. Maybe kids who think the game is boring will actually think it can be fun if they watch this show and want to learn to play.

  6. Randy Severson Says:

Hey , when I was a kid golf was the LAST thing on my mind as far as being a fun sport. Let’s be realistic, it takes FOCUS,PATIENCE and lots of practice and dedication. This is not Little League where Johnny can miss a practice for his haircut and still gets to play his 3 innings and 2 at-bats (Whichwas never the case when I played, you miss a practice, you ride the pine) **Please take note all you future Little League parents**
Golf is something that should be respected and the HONOR of the game needs to be uphled. Don’t trash it with BS and “fun” it’s not “fun” it’s a VERY Challenging Sport, not a game.
HOWVER, had there been a gorgeous host like Keri teaching the game when I was younger? I’d be first in line with a 5-iron. :)
-Agreed Keri and Coffee in the AM , nothing like it.

  7. Willard Says:

While checking the Larry/Lawrence situation. Please ask Kenneth as did Dan Rather’s assailant and R.E.M. “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” Kenneth as well as “Ted” from a Canadian postal code always have one more answer than all others on the leaderboard. It’s probably not the exchange rate. Could it be that Kenneth is in his own time zone like Newfoundland?

  8. Kent S. Says:

Brad…right on. “GodOfGolf” (afraid to use his own name???) takes his screen name way too seriously. A show that focuses on developing golf skills and respect for the game may be a little drier in content than he likes, but it’s more important for the development of young players than watching somebody run all over the course. And it can be done in a way to makes it fun. He sounds like the kind of guy who probably makes up his own rules about bounces and bad lies on a course…maybe he was the bozo who was in front of me yesterday hitting 3 balls off every tee and leaving clubs behind all day. It’s hard to imagine a 2-some holding up a 4-some…but these two guys did. Sound like “fun” to you?

  9. losova Says:

Way to go Brad. “GodOfGolf”, first off, Brad is entitled to his opinion, secondly, where did you get the idea that bashing Brad was acceptable or a ‘ok’ thing to do? Relax brother and if you don’t like what the guy has to say, just ignore it.

  10. GodOfGolf Says:

Nice try, Kent. I completely respect and follow the rules and history of the game - you would be lucky and honored to play a round with me. What I was trying to convey to Brad - perhaps a bit too brashly as I have no time to suffer fools - is that you can have fun on the golf course and not have to kneel down and beg for forgiveness from Old Tom Morris. Yes, the rules must be learned and the history is fascinating but telling kids how HARD golf is right away ain’t gonna have them racing to the driving range. Let them try it out without all the pressure of being Tiger Woods and then if they actually enjoy the game and want to continue, the rest will fall into place. For that matter, that approach wouldn’t be bad for getting adults into the game for the first time. Lighten the hell up and have some friggin’ fun every now and then.

  11. GodOfGolf Says:

losova - I guess I got the idea that bashing Brad was acceptable from the same place that Brad got the idea that bashing Keri was acceptable. In fact, by way of collateral damage he bashed not only Keri, but The Golf Channel for producing the show and the golfers who are competing in the show just for being on it. But, technically, you’re right. I could just ignore it if I don’t like what the guy has to say so, I’ll make you a deal. If you stop writing in every single damn time that Keri breaks some rule of English and/or grammar that really just doesn’t matter to anyone, I’ll stop writing in anytime someone is being a pompous, condescending jerk with a stick up their ass. Deal?

  12. Kenneth Says:

Hey, Willard leave me out of this.
I joined and paid my membership into GolfNow.com, the benefits included a free round of golf (paid for membership), free hybrid club (still haven’t taken advantage of yet) and an extra entry into the trivia challenge. Check it out and you could join us in our “own time zone”.
p.s. if you checked the zip code you would find it is in San Diego…..
p.s.s. we also get the good tee time deals before you.

  13. losova Says:

    GodOfGolf, you wrote:

“Hey Brad- You’re a jerk. Jerks are nothing but jerk golfers that give golfers who like to play AND have fun a bad view. You would be better served pulling the 9-iron out of your butt”

and you also wrote: that you’ll “stop writing in anytime someone is being a pompous, condescending jerk with a stick up their ass”

GofGolf, you need a two stroke penalty assest to yourself for your rediculous commemts or better yet, a DQ for self embarrassment.
