July 25, 2008
It’s Friday, July 25th and it’s the last day of our Free golf and free gas week - today on Golf Now’s Trivia Contest.
Hey there, Keri Murphy here with the final trivia contest for this week here on GolfNow.com and our featured course for today is Somerset Golf Club in Richmond, Virginia – another course in our GolfNow network where you can save when you book online with us at www.GolfNow.com - the #1 tee time website in the nation.
Okay, let’s just get right to our final trivia question for this week, which has to do with golf equipment and our question is:
What was the first company to make a matched set of golf clubs in the United States?
Was it:
A. Spalding
B. Wilson
C. Dunlop or
D. MacGregor
Just mark your answer on the entry form at GolfNow.com and on Monday’s show, we’ll tell you which company it was and we’ll see if your answer was correct and earned you another entry into our computer for our daily drawings.
Now, let’s find out the answer to our trivia question from yesterday’s show, which was:
Which country has won the most times the most wins at the Evian Masters?
The LET’s Evian Masters in France was founded in 1994 and five different countries that have been represented by winners in this tournament since that time. France has come close several times but hasn’t seen a winner yet and Japan had one champion in Hiromi Kobayahsi, who won in 1997. Next up is Australia with two winners, and England and the U.S. have each won three times, including Natalie Gulbis’ victory last year in a sudden death playoff. But, the country with the most winners is Sweden, with five champions including Helen Alfredsson’s win at the very first tournament and Annika Sorenstam’s wins in 2000 and 2002.
So, if you answered C - then you were right and you’ve added one more entry into our computer for our daily drawings where you can win great golf prizes and today is the last day of our free golf and free gas week which means that our winner today is going to receive one free round of golf from Golfnow.com plus a free $50 golfnow gas card and we’ll also throw in a dozen personalized Titleist Pro-V1’s to try use during that free round. Okay, computer, show me today’s winner:
And our winner today is Chris Epper of Chandler, Arizona. Congratulations, Chris, you’ve just won free golf and gas plus a dozen Pro-V1’s and, in order to claim these prizes, all you have to do is send me an e-mail to me at Keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days.
