On question of Jan 4, the correct answer, Slazenger, was B, not C, so I should have it correct.

I had B, the correct answer also.

In case some of you missed the show today when Keri answered our James Bond question from last Friday, the correct answer was C - Penfold - not B, Slazenger. Goldfinger played a Slanzenger 1 ball that Bond switched with a Slazenger 7 ball on the 18th hole to cost him the hole and the match. Bond actually played with a Penfold Hearts ball during the match. So, if anyone answered B - then their answer was not correct for this question.

That was kind of a trick question……initially I was ready to mark Slazenger as my answer but after some digging I went with the Penfold……I think maybe they should honor both answers as he did play with both balls during his match with Bond. Illegally of course. They sound like they have ‘’shaken, not stirred” up a few golfnow.com folks….sorry about that….I couldn’t resist.

What happened to my answer from Friday January 4th? I answered Slazenger for the ball type but it appears I got the answer incorrect. As I recall there were some problems with the system last week not sure if this is what caused the mistake. Thanks for taking a look into this. Thanks,

For those of you who are still curious as to the correct answer to last Friday’s question on which brand of golf ball that James Bond played with in his match against Goldfinger - a clip of that entire scene from the film in available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0F9TW8Z7lyw. It’s almost six minutes long, and has subtitles, and right around 5:30 is the part where Bond shows Goldfinger the Slazenger ball that he has switched and, while we never actually see it, Bond mentions the Penfold ball that he has played with the entire match. So, it’s actually not a trick question at all, since Bond never played with a Slazenger ball at anytime during the match, only a Penfold Hearts.

I saw a Winn Grip commercial on TV where the last person shown was a young woman with dark hair pulled back in a pony tail saying something like “It’s all about performance” — was it Keri?
