When showing the answer to yesterday’s question, you should show all the choices.

The intro reminds me of when I am on the greens. The ball always seems to hang on the lip. Love the show and I hope I got all the answers correct so I can get that Free Sleeve of Golf Balls.

We wanted to respond to a comment from yesterday on who was the first golfer after Gene Sarazen to win The Masters on their first try. We couldn’t reply yesterday without letting everyone know the correct answer, so had to wait until today. The comment read: “What about Horton Smith 1936, Byron Nelson 1937.Out of the choices given Hogen was before the others.”
If our research is correct, and we try our best to make sure it is, Horton Smith’s 1936 victory in The Masters was his 2nd win due to the fact that he won the very Masters in 1934 (which automatically made it his first try) the year before Gene Sarazen’s win. Byron Nelson’s
first appearance in the tournament was in 1935, two years before his first win in 1937. And, Ben Hogan had already played in 1942 (where he lost to Byron Nelson by one stroke in an 18-hole playoff) before his win in 1951. We hope that clears up any issues anyone had with our answer choices.
However, we aren’t perfect as we did have a typo on Fuzzy Zoeller’s name, so we apologize for that.
Also, we had one comment this morning about having the answers next to the letter choices on our entry form. Unfortunately, the way the website is set up at this time, we aren’t able to list the answers each day in the entry box.

Great concept and well presented. You need to keep a list of winners somewhere on the site. Also, are Canadians eligible for the prizes?

To Northern Viewer: Yes! Canadians are definitely eligible to play in out trivia contest so be sure to let any other golfers you know in Canada about our show. Thanks for your comments.
