    I found information indicating that Ed Sullivan was the first “golfer” pictured on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

    I put an answer that you may feel is right but, it’s not. Another golfer in 1955 was first on cover..lets be Furgol

    HMMMM. Let’s see, ah yes I remeber it well. April 4th, 1955. Hint, hint. You can not see his face. See if that helps. Also there is

    FYI!!!! It is not Ed Furgol or Ed Sullivan. It is one of the 4 answers that were listed for the question. Ben H., yes there was another golfer on the cover just 4 months before June 1955 and he shares your initial. Oh man did I type that out loud!!!!
