Bogus question and just because Danny didn’t want to go to school in Nebraska doesn’t mean it took place there. If in fact, Caddyshack took place in Nebraska how do you explain Judge Smail’s & Rodney’s large yachts with Florida registrations? Were they temporarily boating on some lake in Nebraska? Poor form…

uHH Nebraska? The movie was filmed in florida and set in illinois?

We apologize if anyone feels that the answer to our question was incorrect. We based it on several internet sources that identified Nebraska as the state in which the movie takes place, as well as the actual dialogue from the script where Michael O’Keefe’s character, Danny, mentions going to school in Nebraska. Our feeling - and perhaps the other sources that list this same answer - was: Why would they mention Nebraska specifically if the movie did not, in fact, take place there? It is also certainly not uncommon for movies to be filmed in one location but set elsewhere, most often due to weather considerations or the look of a particular location that is not indentifiable with a particular place. We certainly do our best to research our trivia questions and make sure our answers are correct and we apologize for any unintentional error on our part.

Yes, Nebraska is indeed a bogus answer. There is no lake in Nebraska the size of the one Ted Knight was christening his boat on. Especially one that has hi-rise hotels on the shore.

I googled all the choices and found another trivia contest with the same question and answer and IMDB.com has Nebraska as a plot keyword for the movie, but not Florida or any other state. Plus, Danny does say he doesn’t want to go to school in Nebraska in movie. Why would he say that if he didn’t live there? If Keri was wrong then it’s because other people though the same thing.

I believe today’s winner Andre Rollolazo lives in Hayward California - not Heyward.
