From the looks of the picture of the Haig over Keri’s shoulder today, he was one of golf’s first switch hitters. Old Walter is probably spinning in his grave.

One source we found in our research on Walter Hagen stated the following: “When not in the pro shop he was playing semi-professional baseball as a starting pitcher with the Rochester Ramblers, clearly a star player. Incredibly he was not only a switch hitter, he was a switch pitcher, and could pitch with either hand!”
