August 27, 2008

It’s Wednesday, August 27th and we’re giving away a Cobra Baffler hybrid club - today on GolfNow’s trivia contest.

Hi, everyone, Keri Murphy here with another edition of GolfNow’s trivia contest. Our featured course for today is Fallbrook Golf Club, a little north of San Diego and because Fallbrook is just one course in our GolfNow network, then you can save when you book your tee times online with us here at www.GolfNow.com.

A few months ago we talked about the Ushuaia Golf Club in Argentina being the southernmost golf course on the planet and so, let’s head in the opposite direction for today’s trivia question, which is:

Which country has the northernmost 18-hole golf course in the world? Is it:

A. United States

B. Canada

C. Norway

D. Greenland

Just go to the entry form at GolfNow.com to submit your answer and tomorrow, we’ll tell you which country it is and, if your answer was correct, then you will add one more entry into our computer for our daily drawings. Okay, let’s find out the answer to our question from yesterday’s , which was:

Which of these golfers has NOT appeared in a movie about golf? A. Jack Nicklaus

The first movie we know of that was based on golf was the 1953 film, “Follow the Sun” starring Glenn Ford, which told the story of Ben Hogan’s amazing comeback from his near-fatal car crash. Sam Snead, Jimmy Demaret and Cary Middlecoff were all featured in that film and other golfers have been seen on the silver screen since then including Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson and Sam Snead in the Jerry Lewis/Dean Martin comedy The Caddy, Arnold Palmer playing golf against Bob Hope in Call Me Bwana and Lee Trevino, of course, in Happy Gilmore. But, from what we can tell, Jack Nicklaus has resisted the lure of Hollywood - so, if you answered A – then you were right, which means that you now have one more entry into our computer for our daily drawings and our prize today is a Cobra Baffler DWS hybrid utility wood – a gold medal winner on Golf Digest’s 2008 Hot List. Okay, computer, show me today’s winner:

And our winner today is Michael Duffy of Orlando, Florida. Congratulations, Michael, and now, to claim this Cobra hybrid, just send an e-mail to me at keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days and we will get it out to you.
