Major Championships Blog

His name is Bryan Kohlmeier. About two years ago he bought the domain name www.majorchampionships.com. He didn`t really know what to do with it but thought it was a good name. Then two years later an idea sparked in his head.

He wanted to provide golfers with information ranging from exercise, health, mental health, rules, amateur event information, and more. He also want to provide a photo gallery of coures`s and PGA Players. He would also like users to submit photos they have taken at Major Tournaments such as the The Masters, U.S. Open, The PGA Championship, and The British Open. Visit his blog directly at www.majorchampionships.com

So browsing the golf.com website yesterday I came across an article as a part of the BBC Sports and how Retief Goosen has come out and said he believes Tiger Woods was faking his injury during his 5 rounds at the U.S. Open. He was quoted as saying: “It just seemed when he hit bad shots his [...]
Robyn Beck/Agence France-Presse Getty Images I just heard the gut wrenching news that Tiger Woods will undergo another surgery and will be out for the rest of the year. Ugh.  So this will affect many people, but obviously this is in Tiger’s best interest…not just for the present, but the future as he chases Jack Nicklaus’s famouse [...]
Starting next Thursday, June 12th, the 2008 U.S. Open tournament begins with reigning Champion Ángel Cabrera attempting to repeat. Torrey Pines South Course measures in at a beastly 7,643 yards with par being 71. The course is actually 379 yards longer then any previous U.S. Open course in history. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson [...]
Even though I am writing this one day late from when it started, a great charity recently wrote me to talk about their program, Pink on The Links. They have partnered with Champ Spikes for an inaugural Mother’s Day event where major manufacturers such as Nike, ECCO, and Hi-Tec get involved. Champ Spikes, the [...]
This Thursday marks the beginning of an event many Tour players consider a 5th Major Championship. Played at the TPC at Sawgrass, spectators and viewers alike get to watch the PGA’s top players battle it out at the Stadium course for The Players Championship. The TPC at Sawgrass is of course most popular for its [...]
Going through my old video swing archive, I came across these gems from my time at the University of Evansville and felt like sharing. I also decided to put a little extra effort into the video “production” by incorporating multiple swings into one video, along with adding a nice logo to the beginning and a [...]
LM Otero / AP / Golf.com At the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, the final duel into playoff hole #2 was great to watch today between the aussie’s Adam Scott and Ryan Moore. Adam Scott won the two hole playoff with an incredible putt of roughly 45 feet across the entire 17th green. Ryan Moore’s putt, just [...]
Hitting a 9-iron at Merdian Hills Country Club.
I am actually trying a new video hosting service called Revver to post my golf swings. This is my first attempt with it, so we will see how it goes. This is me hitting a shot on a par 3, I think with a 6-7 iron This is another video of me hitting a driver on #11 [...]
Streeter Lecka/Getty Images That is exactly what the gallery was chanting as Boo Weekley successfully defended his Verizon Heritage title this past Sunday. Weekley carded an even par 71 beating out competitors Anthony Kim and Aaron Baddeley. The closest anyone in the field got to Weekley was within a few shots. Jim Furyk made an early charge [...]
