Whispering Firs Golf Course 3.7 5 83 83
Very nice course Excellent course that has pretty good greens. The fairways were a little rough because of the dry summer but overall very well kept. Go play, you won't be disappointed. July 11, 2015
Nice course layout This was the first time my son and I played Whispering Fir and it won't be the last. There are a couple of water holes and two or three serious dog legs. I said the pace of play was average because we got stuck playing the back nine during a Men's Club event that takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, but was compensated by the course. I look forward to playing this course again. The course is on the McChord AFB side of what's now JBLM (Joint Base Lewis-McChord). July 8, 2015
Good bang for your buck We went on a Sunday and had no problems slotting into our tee time. Course is in good shape especially for the reasonable price it offers. We did get backed up however on the back nine probably because of newer military guys just learning to play golf on the course. June 24, 2015
Firs Good We were able to tee off a little before our time because the group in front of us played fast. We didn't see them until the back 9. The course was in good shape, except for the tee box on 1 par 3. We enjoyed the course. June 23, 2015
Great course Great round, it started with the friendly staff. The course was well kept specially the greens, challenging golf course with tight fairways. Overrall a great experience. June 16, 2015
Smooth greens Course in great shape, greens were soft and smooth. June 12, 2015
Dogleg left course! Work over the last couple of years starting to pay off. From new tee areas, tree cutting, to reworking a water sogged par 3 hole, the course is coming alive after years of status quo. Only complaint is the condition of the greens. Shaggy, could use some TLC to bring them into good playing condition. Camaloch greens would be good ones to copy. Good practice facilities and usually can find good deals on golfnow for a round any day of the week. Restaurant is excellent, just need to extend their hours. May 28, 2015
fairways in great shape Fairways solid with great firmness. Greens were slow. Needed to be mowed closer and holes looked like they haven't been moved for a week. weather was great ... Felt like summer golf. April 22, 2015
