Short, but sweet
Short, but sweet. For sure, a confidence buider, great for the high handicapper. They really made it into a fun layout for most everyone. It was my first time out to the course and let me tell you, I was impressed. The conditioning of the course was good and the greens were perfect...and this was in early April, in the rain, and a few weeks after they punched the greens. The course had big beautiful trees and wildlife too (3 deer on hole #8) I can't wait to go back and play it in the summer with my buddies. Elk Run...A Big Thumbs Up.

Front 9 drains very well, quiet, all holes vary, lots of elevation changes.
Played this course in early April after about a week and a half of dry weather. The front played very dry with only a few small wet areas. The greens were recovering well from spring aeration but still had a quite a bit of sand on them.
The course was peaceful and quiet considering it's location and proximity to train and auto traffic noise.
Be alert when playing 11,12,and 13 on the back especially if the course is busy. Errant shots from embarrassed golfers who don't shout could be an issue.
Lots of up and down. 18 is narrow but driveable. If you're old and out of shape like me, rent a cart for this one.

From tee box to greens, the course was in great shape especially for this time of year.
Enjoyed playing Elk Run. The course has enough challenge but for a novice like me, I wasn't intimidated. I would definitely play Elk Run again!

Fun challenging course. Great for improving your technical game.
The course needs to additional markers on the course to help players determine distance to the hole. I would say 16 of the 18 holes had 100 yard markers and nothing else. It's annoying and takes away from the experience..

Nice local course
Played just after a huge rainstorm. Drainage was good as the conditions were fine. Carts are a bit dated, but I enjoyed the course.

Great value!
Play here! This is a great place to play to keep your game alive. Never too crowded, very friendly staff and a fun course to play. I try to play the front nine a few times rather than the back side, fewer homes on the front nine, better views, better layout. None the less this course is a great value especially when you are trying to get in 36 holes.

The greens were in fantastic shape. Course a little soggy in places but generally very playable!
Staff was great,course in very good condition for this time of year. Greens were some of the best I've played on. Had a great time,no complaints,would definitely recommend to others!

The staff was amazing
I recently played a round of golf at elk Run Golf Course.the staff was overly friendly. How was very happy to have gone there. The course was in great shape for the amountl to rain which we had in Washington. Most of the holes drain very well. And the greens rolled very true I would recommend this course to anyone it is short yet challenging I had a phenomenal time and will be back

Course was in surprisingly good condition for late November...
Played the Run many of times; thought course was in pretty decent shape for the season. The greens were in excellent shape!
No complaints here.

A Good Course for a great bargain
An enjoyable course to play and I shot "lights out" with a net 59 with one birdie and 7 pars. Pace of play great as I finished round in 3 hours and course was in great shape.

Fairly Narrow Course
We have played this course numerous times, it is fairly narrow and lots of traps overall, lots of trees, not super long but accurate shots are very important to keep scores lower, nice layout overall and very enjoyable course to play

Fall debris on some greens
Course in great shape. Bunkers had no play, sand hard as a rock. Some of the greens had a lot of fall debris. Lots of fun playing in the rain.

This course has a variety of fairways
Each hole offered a different challenge. The setting is in a quiet sanctuary that is enjoyable to be within it. The greens were in fantastic shape with challenging pin placements and challenging greens. This is a course I would play again.

Nice course - pleasant surprises
I've wanted to play this course for awhile. I was able to get a great price via GolfNow.com. It was on a Saturday afternoon in between rain storms. The course was not crowded and I was able to play through quickly. I was concerned due to the warning signs about you being responsible for damage you do, since the course is nestled into a neighborhood. I found that the holes were set up properly and I did not feel like I was going to hit any houses. I could see that others have in the past though - so hit it straight.

Fun course, great views, well worth it.
I have played elk run several times, even before its emergence on golf now. It has always been very well kept and fun to play. The restaurant staff is always very friendly and makes food on the turn a very easy option. Elk Run is a great value at any time of the day and the pace has never made me regret playing there.

Great scenery
a vary nice course to play thats close to the house and has good hot deals on Golf Now. I go to Druids to practice before my tee time and look at the holes backed up,up to 2 groups deep and just know when I get out to Elk Run it will be smoothe sailing. I've never had a problem with them letting me on earlier than my scheduled tee time, so I show up a little early.Guys in the shop are always nice.Good pace of play. This course will not beat you up.Best scores the last 2 outings.

The course had some very nice views.
Good pace of play on a Saturday late afternoon. Hilly course would be a challenge to walk.
No driving range. Chipping green was not well kept. Club house seemed on the decline
