Come experience Laurel Hill Golf Club, Northern Virginia's newest premier daily fee golf experience!

Host Site of the 2013 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. Designer Bill Love, whose credits include the Iron Forge Course at Penn National and Hunting Hawk in Glenn Allen, Virginia, has created an impressive 18-hole course on land that formerly housed the D.C. Department of Corrections facility at Lorton. Paying homage to the early architects of American golf, Love's objective was to let the natural beauty of the property dictate the character of the course. By all accounts he has succeeded with the golf press already describing the course with accolades like "one-of-a-kind" and "visually stunning."

Phenomenal experience Greens were just aerated but still in great condition. Cannot wait to play them once there are perfect. Fairways have a lot of divers but they are filled in well and the fairway grass is perfect to strike from. Difficult holes and mediocre holes. Long and short par 4s I greened two drives from the blue tees but they were both difficult shots. Difficult well placed fairway bunkers as well as green side bunkers make this course about management in saving strokes. Reward for the bold but also heartbreak. Some of the holes bogey is par and some eagle is birdie just depends on course management. Overall great staff and friendly environment. Will definately be playing here a lot more often. Oh and may and grass practice range. Though the grass is only scalable on the weekends September 11, 2014
Magnificent Muni I don't play the course often because it usually commands a high fee, especially for a muni. However, we had a "Hot Deal" Golfnow price and started about three hours before sunset, yet we still got it in. Considering it was late in the day the greens were less than perfect, but the course was in great shape, especially for the price. I'd recommend the course anytime, but it's a much better value when you can score a "Hot Deal". August 28, 2014
great course Always enjoy playing here. The greens can us some patching but overall very satisfied. August 19, 2014
Nice layout, good scenery The course had a nice layout. Some long par 4's mixed in with a few easier ones. Par 3's were challenging with the elevation changes. Few par 5's were 3 shot holes and others you could get to in two. Greens were fast and true, people could use a lesson on fixing ball marks though. Bunkers had nice sand, just maybe not enough. Fairway bunkers were placed very well to catch the errant tee shots. Enjoyable course, used every club in the bag, would play again if the price was better. Even with a golfnow deal it was pricey. First time playing a great course It was the first time I played this Fairfax County course. I had a great time. It could have been more challenging if I hadn't played with someone who has played the course before and gave some very helpful hints. I am a casual player and play probably 2 to 3 times a month. I was hitting the ball great and chipped it on the 18th green even though it was raining. The facilities were great. The only concern I have about the course applies to the users. The greens could have been better if the player would repair their ball marks. However, it was a challenging and fun course to play and I will play it again. August 12, 2014
big boy golf course marginal shots WILL BE PUNISHED. you can score in places, and you can put up big numbers in others. you will be faced with shots that don't fit your eye, sooner or later. you'll know the state of your game as you play, and when you're finished. August 5, 2014
Great Public/County Course This course carved out of old Prison grounds so that is unique. It is a really great course. It has challenging holes and focused putting is a must for scoring. A few forced carries off tee but fair if getting ball up into air. Visually attractive and quiet course. Do have a GPS or Laser Range Finder with you because yardage markers are intermittent and there are no 150 yard poles for determining distances to green. Greens roll true and a little fast. Like a lot of public courses would be better if people would fix their divots! Wonderful Northern Virginia option for golf-- better than many of the Myrtle Beach courses. August 4, 2014
Greens need maintenace The greens were pretty chewed up. For what we paid, I would have expected something better. August 4, 2014
