nice housing developement course,variety of shots needed
south riding has a nice layout that would be much better without the couple holes with houses just OB. not much you can change now. nice greens, challenging par 3's. typical NOVA pace of play, too slow when you get caught behind the hacker 4-some marking every putt.

Love this course
Best green conditions in the area. Love the creativity of this course. Each hole is different and tests all aspects of your game. Cant wait to go back!

Nice and wel maintained....
The course was long enough for me and they were not too hard to play. Not that challenging... I enjoyed playing!!!

Great Layout
This course has a wide variety of types of holes that keep things interesting throughout the round. The course is open to scoring and making some birdies here or there for even the average golfer but take it too lightly and this course can make you pay as well. Good balance on the course of links style golf along with some woods golf and target golf. Overall great course one of my favorites in the area.

The course is pretty quiet.
The course has pretty challenge some holes. I like this course.

Good condition and good value
Played the course mid-October and although pace of play slowed at the turn through the back 9 course was in good shape and a good value.

Nice course well maintained greens
Staff was very accomodating as one guy in our 4some was 5 minutes late, we just teed off when he got there no problems. Greens were smooth and true.

Grounds keepers Revenge
The pin placement was the most difficult I have seen on this course. Maybe it was the grounds keepers halloween trick or treat. The overall condition was good and the weather this day was good for mid Oct.

poor experience with the staff
Tried to play this course after a long time and booked a round with GN. Returned after playing just two holes. very slow for a Friday afternoon. The course staff refused to give a rain check even though they said they would when I called them from the course asking if they would give a rain check if I quit. Needless to say it was frustrating. Glad to have so many other great public courses in the DC area to chose from. would not return to this one. Generally I think it is much pricier given the quality and experience.

My home course
I consider this my home course because I live in the community. It is always in great shape. They need to put in fresh sand in the traps, but other than that, it is a great course.

Played this course for the second time and enjoyed it both times I played..Golfnow.com gave me a great deal to play also.

Nice well maintained course
For the first time player the course has some deceiving holes and on the second go round they don't get much easier. Especially difficult is the #1 handicap par 4 #13. Bunkers could use some work especially the green side. I think it has one of the best practice facilities around but would be good if they used their grass tees.

Always well maintained
All in all a very nice and well maintained course. Not extremely difficult. I rated it a poor value for the money but I don't like to pay a lot to golf. GolfNow has great deal though. For the money they should use their grass tees for their practice facility and if there is only a marginal amount of rain they close the driving range and I don't feel the putting green is representative of the course greens. Pace of play is always good.
