Teravista Golf Club
In good shape for winter season. Staff was exceptional. Slow play due to a five some ahead and crowd for beautiful day.

Windy day at Terravista
Terravista has always been a course I enjoyed playing. It's open layout is really affected by windy condition's. The day we played it was very windy and very challenging but enjoyable. The greens were putting well and the fairways are typical winter condition and very tight. Pace of play was about average there and is always a little slow. The group in front of us hunted balls on every hole so we had a 445 hr round and the course wasn't crowded. The bunkers need more sand as the drainage mat is exposed in many bunkers. Overall it was still enjoyable even with the cold and 2 or 3 club wind. I've played there for years and will go back.

used to be a great value
course continues to go downhill. way way too many old people who know nothing about pace of play or fixing ball marks and divots. this was a Monday for goodness sakes and we left after 9 excruciating, slow holes behind 2 foursomes of the elderly sun city types. even asked if we could play thru as a twosome...ignored. called pro shop they did nothing because they "got rid of the marshalls" Bunkers have to be worst in all of Texas. This place will look like Hancock in a year.

Dead fairways in winter
First time playing at the recommendation of several friends. Priced similar to Avery, but I prefer Avery. Dead fairways in winter is depressing, although Avery does this as well. Course was otherwise in good shape.

Enjoyable round in January
Played here mid week on what might be the last warm day in January in Texas. Course is looking good, greens are rolling nicely. Fairways are well maintained but maybe getting a bit thin in some areas. Bunkers were a bit wet from recent rains, so pay attention to the condition of the sand before hitting your bunker shots. Great course for mid and low handicappers, can be tough on the high handicaps or if you don't carry tee shots and approach shots (several shots require a carry over water/rough/bunkers). I always enjoy the challenge of this course, and play off about a 12. My Dad (72) who plays off about a 20 finds it too difficult due to the types of shots required (bump and runs are punished frequently with bunkers!) High handicap will likely enjoy Star Ranch or Bluebonnet more. I'll be back again soon, but not with my Dad! Course can play very long with north wind and playing the tips will give you a solid challenge any day of the week. I've played this course since it opened and it is growing in nicely with trees now and greens have matured quite a bit as well.
